Marcus Pohlmann

Marcus Dale Pohlmann, ph.D, is an American political scientist, author, and professor. His research focuses primarily on American government and politics, specifically, African-American politics, urban politics, and political economy. He is a long-time professor of political science at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. Pohlmann is also a coach of intercollegiate mock trial, having coached teams to four national championships, and has served as President of the American Mock Trial Association.

Pohlmann is also an accomplished mock trial coach. He is one of only seven coaches to be inducted into the American Mock Trial Association's Coaches Hall of Fame. He has won four National Championships as well as three national runner-up finishes. His team's currently hold several records, including the longest consecutive streak in qualifying for the National Championship. (26 Years)
